Temporary artwork for an old whaling port, Sag Harbor, NY. Steep church roof resembles sails. Seeing steeple as a mast, this proposal adds a jib and imaginary forward motion. Net material comes from onsite images of fisherman apostles.
Despite community support, the proposal violated zoning regulations, and a permit was denied. Instead, Jib Net was installed inside the church to quite different effect (see Site Projects section).
